Okay, so I’m probably being ambitious with the title. But I have good intentions about trying to post a monthly update, so I thought I’d roll with it.
My fingers were too cold for writing this morning. Thank goodness for tea.
What’s coming next?
Next up from me is Passing Through. This is a long novella that’s set in Cornwall. It’s a little different from what you may expect from me — angstier, with darker themes. But it has a very satisfying HEA, and the early reviews on Goodreads are great, so I really hope my readers will enjoy it! There are no preorder links for that yet, but I’m hoping to set them up about ten days before release, so watch this space.
What’s coming soon?
Audio books galore! Seriously — I have audio books coming out of my ears (I think there should be a joke there if only I could find it). Nothing Serious should be out soon from Dreamspinner Press, hopefully by March but I don’t have a definite date yet.
I’ve also just agreed a contract with a narrator/producer to get my self-published title, The Dating Game, into audio. The narrator I’m working with on that one is a British actor, Matthew Lloyd Davies, so I’m really looking forward to hearing what he does with Owen and Nathan. I hope that audio book will be ready to release by late March/early April.
Not Just Friends and The Little Things are also in production with Dreamspinner Press (hopefully out late spring/early summer), and Matthew Lloyd Davies will be reading those books too.
What’s in the pipeline for the future?
I’m currently working on a sequel for The Dating Game. I think it’s about 3/4 written now, so with a bit of luck I’ll be able to publish it by May at the latest if all goes well.
I don’t know what’s coming after that but I have a few story ideas clamouring for attention in my head. 2015 is the year I try and get into a routine for writing and treat it like the full-time job it almost is now. I want to publish at least one book a quarter, and am trying to stay focused during my ‘work day’ — aka while the kids are at school and get most of my writing/editing done then. Promo tends to spill over into the weekends and evenings though, which is why I’m writing this post at 9pm my time (please excuse any tiredness typos).
Any other news?
I don’t think so… but I’m sure as soon as I press ‘post’ I’ll think of something else I should have added here.
Any questions?
Feel free to ask me a question in a comment here, or you can tweet me, or ask me on Goodreads.
Thanks for reading if you got this far 🙂
