So, Not Just Friends came out last Monday and it’s been a fun ride. I’ve been utterly thrilled by the response to the book so far, lots of people have loved Lewis and Max’s story and it’s been amazing reading all the lovely things that people have had to say about it. Thank you so much to everyone who has bought, read, reviewed, tweeted me, mentioned me on FB, hosted me etc, and helped to make it such a great release week. Tackle hugs all round 🙂
My blog tour is nearly over. I have one more stop tomorrow on Josephine Myles’ blog, and then I’m done until next time. There are a few giveaways still going on, so check out the places I visited if you want to enter.
On Saturday night I did a Goodreads meet-the-author chat with Maggie Kavanagh (whose debut novella Taking Flight came out last week too). Fun times were had by all. We spent most of the evening discussing favourite books and sharing recs (and kissing gifs), so now my TBR list is twice as long as it was before – yay!
Amid all the excitement, I also managed to make a start on a new WIP. My word count last week wasn’t very impressive, but I like what I have so far and am looking forward to getting stuck in to writing it. I think it will turn out to be another novella, and the goal is to get it drafted before my kids and husband break up for the Easter holidays. I have five weeks, so if I can find my mojo it should be possible.
Release week always feels a bit like Christmas, everything is a little crazy and my normal routine gets shot to pieces (in a good way). So next week I’m going to try and settle back into good habits and prioritise writing over promo again.
Wish me luck, and kick my arse if you see me tweeting too much when I should be writing 😉
