I woke up to another contract in my inbox this morning which made a pretty much perfect start to Friday.
This is for a novella that I wrote back in Jan/Feb this year and is a mostly happy/fluffy getting together story called Nothing Serious. It looks as though the novella will actually be released first – during October – and the novel will be out a few weeks later because of Dreamspinner’s scheduling.
Here’s the blurb for Nothing Serious:

You can’t fix a relationship when you realise that the person you’re with is the wrong sex, and Mark is finally being honest with himself. His relationship with Rachel is over and he’s moving out of the house they shared for six years.

Jamie is one of the removal men. He’s huge and impossibly gorgeous, and Mark is smitten at first sight. A mortifying incident involving a cardboard box that splits, revealing items of a personal nature that Mark never wanted anybody to see, sparks the start of a beautiful friendship—with benefits.

As Jamie initiates Mark into the joys of gay sex, the two men get increasingly close and ‘nothing serious’ turns into something rather important to both of them. But communication isn’t their strong point. Will either of them ever find the courage to be honest about their feelings?

I had lots of fun writing about these two. Jamie, in particular, wormed his way into my heart from chapter one, so I hope that readers will feel the same. I’m very excited that their story will be out there for people to read in a few months!

Have a great weekend 🙂
